Concrete Slab Quantities
How to Calculate Material
Watch Vedio Click here
We have a very simple method to use for material Quantities:
How to Calculate material Quantities?
Let's we disscus an example to understand
We have a slab having Size 100ft x 100 ft with 5inch thickness. Use Concrete Ratio 1:2:4.Calculate Quantities of material used.
First of All we do find Wet Volume of Slab which is:
Wet Volume= 100x100x 5/12= 4200 Cft .
Dry Volume= 4200 x 1.54 =6468 Cft.
Note: Here's 1.54 used Concrete Dry factor.
Ratio of Concrete is= 1:2:4
Sum of Ratio= 7
✓Cement = Ratio of Cement/Sum of Ratio x Dry Vol.
= 1/7x 6468= 924 Cft.
One Cement. Bag Vol. Is 1.25 Cft.
So, 924/1.25= 739.2
we can say 740 Bags of Cement used.
✓Sand= Ratio of Sand/Sum of Ratio x Dry Volume
= 2/7x 6468= 1848 Cft
✓ Crush= Ratio of Crush/Sum of Ratio x Dry Volume
= 4/7x 6468= 3696 Cft.
It Means We Used Cement 740 Bags.
Sand 1848 Cft.
Crush 3696 Cft.

If we talk about Water Quantity, we can Also Calculate
Select Water Cement Ratio = 0.40
Quantity of Water
= W/C X Number of Cement Bags used X 50
=0.40 x 740 x 50= 14800 Liters.
